With changes to the fall schedule, it’s been a while since we’ve talked football on WISE Sports Radio. But we popped on this week to discuss Matt Rhule’s job security with the Carolina Panthers and whether or not team owner David Tepper is being too patient with his head coach.
Looking around the NFL, we also covered Justin Herbert’s rib injury and his status for Week 3, Kenny Golladay unhappy with his playing time in New York, Bruce Arians getting a warning from the league, the Buffalo Bills-Miami Dolphins match-up, and how the San Francisco 49ers will perform with Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback.
As I said on the air, the Panthers aren’t going to fire Rhule after two games. Especially when their two losses have been close. But Rhule has had problems finding the right guy to run his offense and Ben McAdoo probably isn’t the answer. ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky demonstrated that Carolina is tipping its plays by formation.
