WISE Sports Radio NFL Draft: Carolina Panthers, Deebo Samuel, First QB Taken, No. 1 Pick

Happy NFL Draft Day! The spotlight event of the NFL offseason is here with the annual player selection meeting and with WISE Sports Radio located in Asheville, there is plenty of interest in who the Carolina Panthers will pick with the No. 6 overall selection.

Who will be the No. 1 overall pick? Who will be the first quarterback selected in what most view as a subpar class at the position? And will any veteran players like Deebo Samuel, Baker Mayfield, or Jimmy Garoppolo be traded during the draft?

WISE Sports Radio NFL segment: March 26, 2020

UNC Asheville coach Mike Morrell guest-hosted with Pat Ryan for Thursday’s WISE Guys show on WISE Sports Radio. So we got some coaching and roster-building insight for our NFL segment. WISE Sports Radio NFL hit: Jan. 16, 2020

As football snuck onto Wednesday’s WISE Sports Radio baseball segment, baseball upstages football on Thursday with news of Carlos Beltran stepping down as New York Mets manager (probably before he was fired) after his role in the Houston Astros’ sign-stealing scandal was exposed.

Pat Ryan, Mike Gore, and I do get to football, however, discussing the Centennial Class of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Odell Beckham Jr. passing out straight cash, homey. We also talk more about Matt Rhule as the Carolina Panthers’ new head coach and Sunday’s NFL conference championship games.
