Up until Thursday’s NFL Draft, the big story in pro football this week is the reunion of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. (And Gronk came out of retirement!) How much fun will they have now that they’re no longer playing for grumpy Bill Belichick?
But the Draft is the NFL’s main attraction, maybe one of the last “real” sporting events we’ll have until the fall. (That is, if football is even played this coming season.) Will the Dolphins be able to trade up to No. 1 and get LSU quarterback Joe Burrow? Who will the Carolina Panthers take at No. 7? Will the Patriots get their Tom Brady replacement?
It’s probably because there haven’t been any sports to watch for the past six weeks, but I’m excited about the NFL Draft. (I’ll also be reviewing the broadcast for Awful Announcing.) It’s always been something my sports-fans friends and I love to talk about. And the remote aspect of it all could make for some bloopers and mishaps.
Thanks to WISE Sports Radio for allowing me to post this on my site, along with Mars Hill University (which sponsors the stream), host Pat Ryan, along with D.C. Creasman Jewelers for sponsoring this week’s NFL segment.
