Phone problems at the WISE Sports Radio mothership prevented Monday’s baseball segment from happening. But we were back at it on Wednesday to talk about the New York Yankees suffering a serious blow to their starting pitching rotation.
Pat Ryan and I also discussed two instances of social media and interactions with fans getting out of hand for at least two major leaguers, along with the secret cowboy life of Madison Bumgarner.
I wanted to rant a bit about social media when Pat brought these topics up because the discourse has become so toxic in places. I owe a lot of my career to social media and am grateful for whatever kind of following it’s generated. But too many people feel emboldened to say anything they want behind relative anonymity and very little consequence.
Thanks to WISE Sports Radio for allowing me to post this on my site, along with Mars Hill University (which sponsors the stream), host Pat Ryan, and Vistanet for sponsoring my MLB segment.
