Due to some technical difficulties and general jackassery from the guy at the keyboard, it’s been a while since we’ve posted a baseball segment from WISE Sports Radio. But we’re back! Unfortunately, I had a bad connection at times, which could either be attributed to storms in the area or sitting in a bad place for Wi-Fi coverage.
We covered a few stories that were more baseball-adjacent, like the shooting outside Nationals Park in D.C and a Yankees fan throwing a ball at a Red Sox player. But two major injuries for the New York Mets and the job status of Yankees manager Aaron Boone were also part of the conversation.
What I didn’t get to mention is that the Philadelphia Phillies are really coming on in the National League East. We live in Braves country, so our focus will be on them and the trade for slugger Joc Pederson. But the Phillies might be the club that overtakes the Mets and all their injuries.
You can listen to The WISE Guys from 3 to 6 p.m. ET streaming on wisesportsradio.com (courtesy of Mars Hill University) or the TuneIn app. Locally in the Asheville area, dial up 1310 or 970 AM and 102.9 FM. And thanks to Happy Hill Restaurant for sponsoring the MLB segment.
