WISE Sports Radio football talk: Seahawks eyeing Julio Jones, Mac Jones impressing Patriots, USFL returns

NFL teams are going through their respective mini-camps (or “Organized Team Activities”) now, which provides a few storylines to cover for our WISE Sports Radio football segment.

The Julio Jones trade drama may be nearing a resolution, while the Green Bay Packers may be preparing for life without Aaron Rodgers. Mac Jones might be further along than the New England Patriots expected, the Carolina Panthers moving a playmaker, and the disturbing practice of race-norming.

And is the USFL really coming back? Fox Sports keeps investing in spring football, yet the fan appetite for it seems questionable. Apparently, they need more sports besides baseball to fill those weekends from May through July.

You can listen to The WISE Guys from 3 to 6 p.m. ET streaming on wisesportsradio.com or the TuneIn app. Locally in the Asheville area, dial up 1310 or 970 AM and 102.9 FM.

Thanks to Mars Hill University for sponsoring WISE’s streaming broadcast and the NFL segment is presented by D.C. Creasman Jewelers.
