Between schedule shuffles on WISE Sports Radio with the high school football season and Thanksgiving, it’s been a while since I’ve been on to talk football. I almost didn’t make this week’s segment as an emergency came up right before I was to go on the air. But everything calmed down and was OK in a couple hours, so I was able to call in for the final segment.
Adrian Peterson extending his long NFL career with another team, Christian McCaffrey going down for the season, the risk of committing long-term to running backs, Sean Payton’s love for Taysom Hill, and Michigan’s chances in the Big Ten championship game were among the topics I chatted about with Pat Ryan and Mike Gore.
NFL teams are going through their respective mini-camps (or “Organized Team Activities”) now, which provides a few storylines to cover for our WISE Sports Radio football segment.
The Julio Jones trade drama may be nearing a resolution, while the Green Bay Packers may be preparing for life without Aaron Rodgers. Mac Jones might be further along than the New England Patriots expected, the Carolina Panthers moving a playmaker, and the disturbing practice of race-norming.
We’re one week away from the 2020 NFL season beginning and Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers just added a big piece to their offense.
Talking football on WISE Sports Radio, we also discuss Josh Gordon re-signing with the Seattle Seahawks, the L.A. Chargers and Washington Football Team naming their starting quarterbacks, and the New England Patriots saying “See ya!” to receiver Mohamed Sanu.
