Henry Aaron passed away last Friday at the age of 86. (I wrote about Aaron at The Comeback.) On our WISE Sports Radio baseball segment, we had to discuss the legacy of baseball’s all-time home run leader — from 1974 to 2007 — and what he experienced through his life.
Also among our topics: George Springer, the top free agent hitter, signs with the Toronto Blue Jays and Curt Schilling might have jeopardized his Hall of Fame chances with his politics and frequently confrontational approach.
As we mentioned in the Schilling discussion, 2013 was the last year that no players were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. It also happened in 1996, so we’ve seen this twice in relatively recent memory.
You can listen to The WISE Guys from 3 to 6 p.m. ET streaming on wisesportsradio.com (courtesy of Mars Hill University) or the TuneIn app. Locally in the Asheville area, dial up 1310 or 970 AM and 102.9 FM. And thanks to Happy Hill Restaurant for sponsoring the MLB segment.
