Baseball’s last stand for a 2020 season will probably happen this week. Team owners have submitted a plan to players, and now the question is whether or not the players will accept it.

On Monday’s WISE Sports Radio baseball segment, we ask the question we’ve asked all along: Is playing baseball possible while keeping everyone involved safe? Even if this is the best plan presented, is it really feasible?

Also, I saw this tweet by Washington Nationals pitcher Sean Doolittle after appearing on the radio. If most MLB players look at this the way Doolittle is (read his whole Twitter thread), they will not sign off on playing the 2020 season.

Bear with me, but it feels like we've zoomed past the most important aspect of any MLB restart plan: health protections for players, families, staff, stadium workers and the workforce it would require to resume a season. Here are some things I'll be looking for in the proposal…
