“It’s been informative and humbling”: My interview with Brad Marley about writing and podcasting

I’m a big fan of Brad Marley’s newsletter, which talks about writing and storytelling — notably from a marketing and corporate perspective. How companies tell their story is important in reaching clients and customers, and Brad has talked to a variety of writers about their work.

I suppose my writing fulfills a similar purpose, whether it’s for the outlets I work for or in promoting my own ventures, such as The Podcass and the Casselbloggy, my social media accounts and the LST Media shingle I’ve hung out for those endeavors.

The Podcass 023: Astros’ sign-stealing, Parasite’s life-stealing, and never read the comments

Stepping into controversy, sign-stealing, and life-stealing on The Podcass!

We also discussed the future of the Cincinnati Bengals after benching quarterback Andy Dalton. Thursday Night Football‘s matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals was also on our list, in addition to some other Week 9 storylines to follow.

The Podcass 013: More Joker talk, MLB postseason, and Sports Illustrated’s slide

We reviewed Joker on the last Podcass, but the movie set an October box office in finishing No. 1 at the box office over the weekend. And there are soooo many reactions and think-pieces to it that we felt the need to talk some more about it.

After the Joker talk (01:10), we have some baseball talk from WISE Sports Radio (11:42), including the Chicago Cubs’ managerial search. Then the show wraps up with with thoughts on what’s happened to Sports Illustrated (25:20).
