The Boston Red Sox’s trade and payroll nightmare is over. Their trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers, sending Mookie Betts and David Price out west in return for $60 million in payrolls relief and young talent, is finally completed. What was the hang-up in the deal and did the Red Sox get a better return for their efforts?
On Monday’s WISE Sports Radio baseball segment, we also discuss another Dodgers deal that fell through and the Houston Astros’ continuing issues with their sign-stealing scheme that apparently went higher up in the front office than MLB originally led everyone to believe.
Also, a little bit of Oscars talk, though I didn’t expect Pat Ryan to show much interest in Parasite. As I mentioned, this is the kind of Best Picture winner that leads some people to say the Oscars are out of touch with the general public. To that, I say the Oscars were plenty in touch with the filmgoing audience.
Thanks to WISE Sports Radio for allowing me to post this on my site, along with Mars Hill University (which sponsors the stream), host Pat Ryan, and Vistanet for sponsoring my MLB segment.
