Thursday is football day for me on WISE Sports Radio, and Pat Ryan returned to the WISE Guys host chair. (Applause for Jordan DeVere and Charlie Metcalf for their great job filling in during the past week!) But we had to fit in a bit of baseball with some big off-the-field news breaking, as well.
Pat and I discussed Tom Brady eyeing the end of his playing career, Jim Harbaugh having to deny rumors of leaving Michigan for the NFL, the Detroit Lions trading safety Quandre Diggs, and whether or not the Carolina Panthers could trade Cam Newton. In an extra segment after that, we responded to the Houston Astros firing assistant general manager Brandon Taubman, who unleashed a disturbing tirade against female reporters.
We didn’t have too much time for baseball talk, but that news jumped on us rather unexpectedly. We’ll likely discuss the Philadelphia Phillies hiring manager Joe Girardi and the San Diego Padres’ surprising decision to hire Jayce Tingler as their new skipper on Monday, in addition to the possible end of the World Series (!).
Thanks to WISE Sports Radio for allowing me to post this on my site, along with Mars Hill University (which sponsors the stream), the refreshed Pat Ryan, and D.C. Creasman Jewelers for sponsoring my NFL segment.
