WISE Sports Radio NFL talk: New rules, QB pursuit by Broncos and Patriots, Panthers trade buzz

The 2021 NFL Draft begins next week and we cover the latest rumors for WISE Sports Radio‘s NFL segment. Locally, the Carolina Panthers reportedly want to trade down in the first round, while the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots might have to trade up if they want a quarterback.

We also discuss whether the Buffalo Bills should add an impact running back, some rules changes for the 2021 season, and Aldon Smith probably blowing his last chance to play in the NFL.

You can listen to The WISE Guys from 3 to 6 p.m. ET streaming on wisesportsradio.com or the TuneIn app. Locally in the Asheville area, dial up 1310 or 970 AM and 102.9 FM.

Thanks to Mars Hill University for sponsoring WISE’s streaming broadcast and the NFL segment is presented by D.C. Creasman Jewelers.

Oh, and we start with some baseball talk on whether or not MLB players will approve the rumored plan for playing its 2020 season.

WISE Sports Radio NFL segment: Feb. 20, 2020

On Thursday’s WISE Sports Radio NFL segment, Pat Ryan and I take a break from looking at snow to ask if Joe Burrow really wants to play for the Cincinnati Bengals. At the very least, he’s playing a tough negotiator.

Also, we praise Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, discuss the NFL’s proposed new playoff format and 17-game schedule — and all the money to come with those — and I almost break down talking about my Detroit Lions fandom.
