WISE Sports Radio football talk: N’Keal Harry wants out, Trevor Lawrence gets paid, Cameron Kinley can play

For our WISE Sports Radio football segment, Pat Ryan, Mike Gore and I discuss receiver N’Keal Harry asking the New England Patriots to trade him, Trevor Lawrence signing his NFL contract, the Jacksonville Jaguars breaking some rules, and Cameron Kinley getting some help from the U.S. Secretary of Defense.

You can listen to The WISE Guys from 3 to 6 p.m. ET streaming on wisesportsradio.com or the TuneIn app. Locally in the Asheville area, dial up 1310 or 970 AM and 102.9 FM.

WISE Sports Radio NFL talk: 49ers’draft rumors, Panthers trade buzz, Tim Tebow-Urban Meyer reunion (maybe)

The NFL Draft is finally here! In the hours leading up to pro football’s annual player selection meeting, there are still plenty of trade rumors. Anybody moving up? Who’s moving down? And everyone wants to know what the San Francisco 49ers will do with the No. 3 overall selection.

We also love talking about Tim Tebow on WISE Sports Radio, so news that he worked out for the Jacksonville Jaguars and his former college coach Urban Meyer to perhaps catch on as a tight end is news that definitely intrigued us. Probably better for him to get back to football than trying baseball.

WISE Sports Radio NFL segment: July 16, 2020

For this week’s WISE Sports Radio NFL segment, the hope was that the Washington Post would publish its supposed bombshell story on the Washington football team (no longer the Redskins, remember). Plenty of media acted like they’ve heard what will be reported, even though they probably don’t really know.

The Post published its story after our segment: 15 women allege sexual harassment and verbal abuse from Washington Redskins team employees, three of whom recently left the organization before this report was published.

Pat Ryan, Mike Gore, and I addressed that speculation before getting to the big contracts signed this week. Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry and Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett received big paydays, and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is looking at a potentially very lucrative future.

WISE Sports Radio NFL hit: July 9, 2020

Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson stepped into it this week when he posted some anti-Semitic quotes on social media. He says he didn’t realize how those were interpreted and vowed to take steps to educate himself and work with the Jewish community in Philadelphia.

For WISE Sports Radio‘s NFL segment, Pat Ryan and I discussed whether the Eagles should release Jackson or if he should be taken at his word. We also talked about the massive contract Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes signed and continuing efforts to get the Washington Redskins to change their team name.
