Tuesday night was full of big sports news with the Boston Red Sox reaching a “mutual agreement” with manager Alex Cora to step aside in light of his involvement with the Houston Astros and Red Sox sign-stealing scandals.
On Wednesday’s WISE Sports Radio segment, Pat Ryan and I discuss Cora’s “mutual parting” with the Red Sox in addition to the surprise announcement from Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Keuchly that he was retiring from the NFL after eight seasons.
Keuchly retiring was certainly unexpected. But as we talked about, he’s ending his football career while he’s still young and hopefully still has future health to maintain.
He’s a fascinating guy, someone who plays a ferocious, violent position on the football field yet seems like an incredibly nice person. My mother knows who Keuchly is from his CPI commercials, not from all the tackles he made for the Panthers.
Thanks to WISE Sports Radio for allowing me to post this on my site, along with Mars Hill University (which sponsors the stream), host Pat Ryan, and Vistanet for sponsoring my MLB segment.
